A real-world scouting simulation that prepares students for the football industry, builds a professional portfolio, and showcases their work to senior decision-makers.

The Scouting Project is widely considered the most popular and exciting part of the course among students. For many participants, it acts as a dress rehearsal before entering the football industry, a real opportunity to apply everything they have learned in a professional scouting environment.

More than just an academic exercise, the project allows students to showcase their level to senior decision-makers within the industry. Through their work, participants begin building a professional, industry-ready portfolio, something that can play a key role in opening future career opportunities.

Eligibility to Apply

In order to apply for the Scouting Project, participants must first complete their studies. This means that they must have attended all required courses and successfully completed all examinations.

Only after this stage is completed are applications for the Scouting Project accepted.

Once this requirement is fulfilled, everyone is eligible to participate. There are no selection criteria based on location or any other conditions. Regardless of where someone is based, all graduates who have completed the academic requirements can apply and take part in the project.

Applications are submitted directly through the My Learning Page on your Dashboard, where the Scouting Project application option is available.

After the Application

Once the application is submitted, participants are onboarded to a dedicated platform where the entire Scouting Project is organized and managed.

For the purposes of this scouting project, we have developed an internal scouting platform where all participants will have access, and where all information will be centrally hosted. Every aspect of this environment is designed to replicate real club workflows, preparing you for the professional setting you will step into tomorrow.

Within this platform, participants receive all the necessary assignments and instructions. Specifically, they are assigned:

  • Their working groups

  • The competitions they need to analyze

  • The age groups they will focus on

  • All the specifications and guidelines required to complete the project

With our guidance throughout the process, participants complete clearly structured scouting tasks, cover specific markets, and develop practical scouting solutions. The system ensures that every participant understands exactly what needs to be delivered and how to progress step by step.

The experience closely mirrors the workflow of modern scouting departments, providing a highly realistic environment that prepares students for real industry practices.

Introduction of the Data Project

For the first time, the program also introduces a Data Project.

Alongside the traditional scouting pathway, students with an interest in the analytical side of football will have the opportunity to work on data-driven scouting challenges. The project will involve both player identification tasks as well as player assessment and comparison work.

Students with a more advanced background in this area will also have the opportunity to experiment with real football modelling under our guidance.

This addition reflects the growing importance of data-informed decision making in professional football and allows participants to develop a skillset that is increasingly valuable within the industry.

Discover Last Year’s Scouting Project

Below you will find the link to the latest final presentation of the Scouting Project from the previous academic year — the final year in which this degree program was delivered in Greece and Cyprus.

In its new format, the Scouting Project has been completely elevated to another level. The system is now largely automated, allowing the entire process to run smoothly and efficiently, ensuring that every participant receives clear assignments, timelines, and guidance.

At the same time, the project retains its most important element: the human experience. Participants collaborate in teams, exchange ideas, build friendships, and constantly improve through interaction with one another.

This unique combination of structure, technology, collaboration, and real industry exposure makes the Scouting Project one of the most valuable and memorable experiences of the entire course.
